Is the Rhinovator ® the same as all other forced action mixers?

Whilst the Rhinovator ® performs the same tasks, there are many unique features which benefit the end user, not least of which is the bond-resistant polypropylene drum and chute. Whilst resin will stick to plastic, it won’t permanently bond, unlike traditional steel mixers. As there are unique differences, it is important that the user manual is read thoroughly before first use and all operators of the machine are made aware of its contents and guidance.

What can I mix in my Rhinovator ®?

The Rhinovator ® is perfect for mixing concrete, screeds, mortars (not lime mortar) and resin bound aggregates, quicker and more consistently than a standard drum mixer.

Your machine will take a standard 4 bag resin bound mix with ease.

How do I clean my mixer?

The Rhinovator ® features a unique polypropylene bond-resistant drum that reduces build-up by up to 90%. However we recommend cleaning your drum and chute after every 10 mixes or at the end of the job – whichever comes first. Simply spray the drum with Rhino drum cleaner (if using resin materials, or soapy water if using cement-based materials) and wipe clean. If resin has cured, use a scraper tool to remove. Do not use heat, fire or solvent based products to clean the drum or other plastic parts. At the end of the job, remove the mixer arms, spindle protector and trap door to avoid residue resin bonding these items to the machine.

How often will I need to replace the Rhinovator ® drum?

The Rhinovator ® drum has been tested in excess of 10,000 square metres of resin bound under normal use. However, it is critical that the mixer shovels are adjusted so that they do not snag or touch the drum as this will cause premature wearing. Adjust so the shovels are no closer than 5mm from the drum sides

When do I know to replace my Rhinovator ® drum?

A unique feature of the Rhinovator ® drum is that it has wear indicators. When you can see the black strap showing through the inside of the drum, you have approximately 150 square metres before the drum becomes unusable. The drum can be replaced in under a minute by unscrewing the six thumbwheels and sliding the drum upwards and off the driveshaft.

How powerful is the Rhinovator ® motor?

The Rhinovator ® features an industry leading 2kW geared power output which is robust enough for the most demanding mixing needs.

Does the Rhinovator ® conform to the requirements of the UKCA Machinery and electrical directives?

Yes, the Rhinovator ® has been independently inspected and complies with all of the required directives and comes with a Declaration of Conformity.
